Beginning watercolors

Found an old set of tube paints buried in a closet so I gave that plaid color chart a try. Definitely helped me understand how to layer them. And also just how much water to add. Some of these stay very opaque which is not a bad thing, but something to be aware of.

Supplies: I used Reeves Water Color (set of 12).  At $7 a set, they’re very affordable, and the ones I used were from when my husband was in high school so, clearly, they last a while. The paper is Canson 98lb. mixed media paper, good for acrylic, watercolors, and pen. I love this paper because I can never stick with just one medium for long and I don’t see why I should have to.
